I’m Heather Defort, owner of Hair Xtensns Studio. For more than 22 years, I’ve helped women feel confident, beautiful, and truly like themselves through customized hair color and luxury hair extensions. Since becoming certified in extensions in 2005, I’ve dedicated my career to mastering techniques that create natural-looking, seamless results tailored to each client’s lifestyle and goals.

 

After beginning my career at a premier salon in Glencoe and training with some of Chicagoland’s top stylists, that foundation helped me discover my passion for helping women achieve the hair they never thought possible—whether that’s added fullness, length, dimension, or renewed confidence.

 

My private studio was created with intention: a welcoming space where clients can relax, feel comfortable, and receive personalized attention. Every consultation and service is customized to your individual needs. 

 

I believe great hair is about more than appearance—it’s about confidence. My goal is for you to leave feeling refreshed, empowered, and excited every time you look in the mirror.

 

When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll find me spending time with my husband and our 2 boxers Kane and Luna, going out for brunch, taking our boat out and enjoying life with family and friends.
